1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use ProHourly, we may collect:

  • account information, including your name, email address and profile image supplied through Google sign-in;

Please do not submit sensitive information that is not necessary for your profile, verification or engagement. ProHourly does not ask you to publish a Tax File Number, and a TFN is never shown to employers or included in public profile information.

2. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you, from your activity on ProHourly, from businesses or professionals you interact with, and from service providers you authorise, such as Google sign-in. If verification features are offered, we may receive verification status or related information from the relevant provider.

3. Why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and secure accounts;
  • publish and rank professional profiles and make them searchable;
  • enable direct enquiries, shortlists, hiring and project collaboration;
  • verify identity, business details, credentials or trust signals where available;
  • operate, analyse, improve and personalise the marketplace;
  • prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
  • communicate service, safety and account information; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Profile visibility

Information added to a published work profile may be visible publicly, including your name, photo, headline, approximate location, skills, work preferences, rates, availability, work history, portfolio outcomes and verification badges. Do not publish information you do not want prospective employers, clients or the public to see. Private account, payment, verification and messaging information is not displayed as part of the public profile. TFNs are not public profile fields.

5. When we share information

We may share information:

  • with other users when you publish a profile, send an enquiry or participate in an engagement;
  • with infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, communications and verification providers that help us operate ProHourly;

  • as part of a business restructure, financing, acquisition or sale, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Google sign-in

When you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account information you approve, such as your name, email address and profile image. ProHourly uses this information to authenticate you and create or connect your account. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google’s own privacy terms.

7. Storage and overseas processing

ProHourly uses cloud infrastructure in Australia where configured. Some suppliers or support operations may process information in other countries. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted connections and managed cloud services. No service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably required to provide ProHourly, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and prevent misuse. Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

9. Access, correction and deletion

You may update much of your profile information through your account. You may also request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information by using the account or support options made available on ProHourly. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.

10. Cookies and similar technology

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect accounts, remember settings and operate core features. We may introduce optional analytics or preference technologies with appropriate notice and controls.

We will investigate privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
